Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s Eat to Live approach is a nutrient-dense, plant-rich eating style designed to optimize health, prevent disease, and achieve sustainable weight loss. These core principles can help guide your journey:

  • Focus on nutrient-dense, whole plant foods
  • Minimize or eliminate processed foods, oils, salt, and sugar
  • Eat G-BOMBS daily (Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, Berries, Seeds)
  • Limit animal products to small amounts or eliminate them (optional)
  • Eat when hungry, stop when comfortably full
  • Make salad the main dish at least once daily
  • Avoid calorie counting – focus on nutrient density instead
